Asking for help to me was an issue too. Listen to your body, when I waited tables we had a small area in the kitchen to place drinks and I'd run to it when I was thirsty. There is a lot of walking involved, most of the time I NEVER get a break unless I am waiting to be sat or all my tables are eating at the same time which is so rare , I have to balance a tray on my shoulder that have depending on how big the plates are.
I try not to over do it but sometimes I am just in work mode We have drink stations and when its time to fill up the ice I only carry one ice bucket at a time I am just overly cautious. One of my co workers is pregnant and very far along in her pregnancy and I ask her so many questions. She says working doesnt bother her because she was waitressing long before she became pregnant so her body is used to it.
